The basic idea of a freestyle dressage is “riding to the music” – the music should therefore but also enrich the choreography and underline the highlights of the riding. Freestyle music should be coherent and a “round thing” and it should describe a tension arc – with introduction, opening credits, highlights, phases of calm and a big or emotional finale. My aim is to create music that “works” even without seeing the riding, music you also like to hear in your car and that you can imagine the riding to, even if you only hear the music.
I came to freestyle music design by chance – after working for 15 years as an audiovisual media manager in the music industry, about 8 years ago my first “freestyle music job” came unexpectedly and directly at S ** level . Over time, new orders kept coming in, mostly of friends and family. Quite a few dressage music pieces have come together up to now and with them came many victories and placements up to the Grand Prix level – nationally and even internationally.
