how it works…

  • First of all, please contact me and I can tell you if I have time for any new projects at the moment. You need to tell me which class you want your freestyle music for and I will give you a few tips on what you should pay attention to in the choreography so the music will sound great at the end. If I know exactly what you want / need and by when, I can make you a concrete offer.
  • Ideally, I need at least (!) 6 weeks (from video submission on). I need much time to search music that suits you, your riding, your horse and the class you ride. For this I need a video of your riding exactly how you want to ride the freestyle at a tournament. If I have less than 6 weeks time, this means a lot of extra work for me, which I unfortunately have to add to the price (I do this only in justified exceptional cases – e.g. because someone unexpectedly qualified for an important series or championship – since it is no fun trying to be creative, when you’re under pressure).
  • At the beginning, I will try to find out more about your personal taste in music. I prefer not to be committed to certain songs because they often do not meet the criteria that a good song must have for a freestyle program – or they are so old hat that the judges are better off not getting bored with them. But of course I will try to find music that makes the horse / rider couple and the ride appear in the best light within the musical taste of my customers – and if you should not like the result, we will certainly find another solution.
  • I would be happy to advise you on the choreography – so much in advance: symmetries in the ride are important, if you want nice and stunning music, a clear structure and as few transitions as possible. Please get in touch before you make the video so that I can give you a few important tips.
  • after about 4-5 weeks you will get the music to practice. If you send me a video of you riding your freestyle with the music in training, I can make some last changes if necessary or I can give you a few tips on how to ride it more appropriately to the music, or where markers in the music that you can use as guidance.
  • When you have ridden your freestyle at a tournament for the first time, you can send me a video and I look at the ride and the judge’s rating and maybe again will adjust a few things if necessary. You can book a “competition series package”, so we will take a look at how we can position you even better compared to the other participants of the series.
