In Illertissen, Neu Anspach and Zweibrücken, Janina Kahl presented her new Grand Prix Freestyle and she only just missed out on victory. The judges were enthusiastic about their modern, club-friendly music, which they rewarded with grades between 8 and 9. A win shouldn’t be long in coming. Fingers are crossed!
Emma Nielen defends her title at the Hessian Championships
At the championship, which took place in Darmstadt-Kranichstein in mid-July, 18-year-old Emma Nielen from Wiesbaden was able to defend her title with three victories in the special tests and also became Hessian Junior Champion in 2022.
“The expert audience was particularly impressed by the freestyle performance by Nielen and her eleven-year-old mare, Fazz vh Bloemenhof. The specially created choreography with perfectly coordinated music was also rewarded by the judges – with the highest mark of 77.585%.”

Emma Nielen wins junior class series at the Hessian Championships 2021
After she had already won both special tests, Emma Nielen was ahead of the pack with over 75% in the final freestyle at the Hessian Championships in Neu-Anspach. After an almost perfect round and absolute dream grades, the “Supergirl”, who was recently included in the national squad, was able to secure the championship title among the Hessian juniors. Not only did she enchant the enthusiastic audience with her freestyle, the judges were also impressed: she received 8s and 9s for the music!

For many years I have straddled the gap between my work in the music industry and my riding career. At some point, I’ve git the chance to combine both by creating dressage freestyle music.
